AGIA MARINA
Agia Marina is the most touristic place on the whole island with the biggest sandy organized beach only 14,5 km away from Aegina, about half an hour by bus.
Agia Marina can be reached from Pireus with a hydrofoil in 30' minutes, or by a speed boat in 55' minutes.
4 kilometers away from Agia Marina is Afea temple from where you can walk down to the village very easy- the way leads down the mountain all the time. Either you take the main road or the way next to the little souvenir shop, opposite to the temple.
In former times Agia Marina was a area of agriculture only. Starting from Messagros, the country was full of vineyards, olivegroves and stone-pine-woods. But slowly, to advance and develop the tourism for all people of the island, a lot of Hotels and appartments and private houses has been built.
